Mark 02.06.15: Philadelphia and Other Stories

Here's a hyper-local Endorsement for the NPR set.

I'm very happy to tell you that a show I had the immense pleasure of working on has, after a super-sold-out three-night run at the Bushwick Starr, been remounted for 8-night run at SoHo Rep's Walkerspace in Manhattan. This is a radio-inspired stage work by two fellows, Roarke Menzies and Paul Rome, whom I'm lucky enough to call my friends. It's an original piece of performance literature, written by Paul with a score composed by Roarke. It also features musical performances from David Kammerer and Katie Mullins who are just inexplicably wonderful.

This press clip from WNYU Citywide sums it up nicely: "If you love listening to stories on the radio, or podcasts, or having someone close read to you, imagine an environment that allows you to completely dive into and get absorbed by the story you're hearing…it's a real treat."

I've had a lot conversations with some of you lovers of podcasts because of some previous endorsements of mine. If this sounds up your alley, I urge you to check it out. Here's the website. Tickets are $20 and you can get them here. How could you go wrong spending a couple hours having people tell you stories and play you songs? Do it, and support my buds in the process.
